This is a unique opportunity to transition to a more sustainable society and a major contribution to Sweden&#8217;s ability to attain the climate goals set for 2045.<\/p>\n<p>SSAB&#8217;s, LKAB&#8217;s and Vattenfall&#8217;s goal is to be the first in the world with a value chain for fossil-free steel by as early as 2026. To achieve this goal, cooperation is necessary between the development company Hybrit Development AB and the owner companies <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssab.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SSAB<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lkab.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LKAB<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/group.vattenfall.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vattenfall<\/a>, as well as other actors such as the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.energimyndigheten.se\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Swedish Energy Agency<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lunduniversity.lu.se\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lund University<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KTH<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ltu.se\/?l=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lule\u00e5 University of Technology<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.home.sandvik\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sandvik<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ri.se\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RISE<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sei.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SEI<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swerim.se\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Swerim<\/a>.
